John Berryman Obituary
John Richard "Dick" Berryman, age 75, of Rayle, GA, passed away Wednesday October 8, 2025 at his residence.
Dick, was born on December 2, 1949. He passed away on October 8, 2025. Dick was a longtime owner and operator of the Barnett Shoals Chevron gas station and garage. His station was one of the last full-service filling stations, where he proudly served his community. Dick is survived by his daughter, Ashton (Joel) Kiesner, and their daughters, Alexis and Ellawynn Kiesner; as well as his stepchildren, Anna Vinson and Erica (Jason) Sariel, and their children.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Carol McDonald Berryman, whom he shared 13 years of marriage with, as well as his parents, Johnny Heidt Berryman and Mildred Moseman Berryman. Dick was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling and playing the best courses.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 30 at 11AM at Lord and Stephens East Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.
