John Nicholas Bielski II

John Nicholas Bielski II, age 53, of Hinsdale, Illinois, passed away suddenly on October 20, 2025.Beloved husband of Erin Bielski (née Daniel); loving father of John Nicholas Bielski III; cherished son of Marilee and the late John Nicholas Bielski; son-in-law of Barbara and the late John Edward Daniel; brother-in-law of Alyssa (Jeffrey) Hacker, Ashley (Jason) Gambrell, and Erica Daniel; uncle of Graham, Kai, and London Harrison; nephew of David Anderson, Ursula Cowan, and Adalbert Bielski.
John was a devoted son, husband, and father, known for his fierce loyalty to family and friends. He grew up in Lombard, Illinois, as an accomplished swimmer with BR Ryall, Montini Catholic High School, and later Benedictine University. A proud Eagle Scout. He went on to earn both his MBA and JD from DePaul University.
In 2010, John founded his own law firm, later joined in 2012 by his trusted colleague and partner, SJ Chapman. Together, they built a thriving practice founded on integrity and friendship. John's professional commitment was matched only by his dedication to the people in his life.
Throughout his years as an attorney, John has been committed to giving back to the community through pro bono work. John has sat on a number of boards and has provided legal advice to 501(c)(3) organizations.
John was a man of many passions. He loved golf and football trips, heavy metal concerts, video games, and long board game nights with an ever-growing circle of friends. As one of the proud founding members of the Double Blind Bourbon Club, he treasured both the fellowship and the lively exchange of ideas it inspired. With Erin, his best friend and wife, John shared a deep bond built on laughter, curiosity, and shared adventures. Together, they found joy in wine, art, travel, and simple moments at home.
To his son, he was not just a father but a best friend and playmate, always ready for a video game session, Nerf battle, fishing trip, or board game. His heart was pure, his love boundless, and his presence irreplaceable.
Visitation Saturday, October 25th, 2: 00 PM to 6:00 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 South Grant Street, Hinsdale, IL. Funeral Monday, October 27th, family, and friends to meet for a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 306 West Fourth St. Hinsdale, IL. Interment Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook, IL.
