John Bitgood Obituary
Jack worked as a mason with various local contractors over the years until his retirement. He also played softball for several years in Westerly, and was an avid Sports fan. Jack was a US Army veteran.
He leaves behind his two sons, John M. Bitgood and wife Caitlin of Mystic, and Jason A. Bitgood of Westerly; his sister Helen B. Falcone and her family also of Westerly; three grandchildren, Trinity, Lilah and January; as well as several nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his brother Jeffrey Bitgood and his stepbrother Edward Cranshaw.
Private funeral services with Full Military Honors will be held at the convenience of the family. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of the arrangements. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com

So sad to learn that Jack has passed. He and I were sidekicks when we were much younger. I have so many great memories of our friendship, especially when we were at SHS.
