A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 28, 2026 in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service conducted by Rev. Marilyn B. Wooten, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112.
John is survived by his significant other, Sheila Irving and her son Thomas. He is also survived by his brother, Phillip Black and wife Susan of Hilton Head Island, SC, as well as his sister, Celia Lienau and husband Mickey of North Myrtle Beach, SC.
