John Blue Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sebrell Funeral Home on Jan. 14, 2026.
John Kelly Blue, born April 24, 1972, passed away peacefully at his home on January 11, 2026.

Kelly was the beloved son of Janice Gardner Blue and the late Dr. Charles Blue, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother, Ernie Blue; his half-siblings Graham, Ruthie, Nancy, and Elizabeth; and his cherished nieces, Audrey Anne Blue Espinoza and Olivia Jorden Blue. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

In his younger years, John attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). He pursued a career as a chef, a profession that reflected his creativity, dedication, and appreciation for craftsmanship. Kelly was also a gifted artist and, in his youth, earned recognition and awards for his artistic talent.

Kelly had a lifelong love for the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Fly fishing held a special place in his heart so much so that he became an instructor, sharing both his skill and passion with others. He also had a deep love for animals and found joy in their companionship throughout his life.

A devoted Christian, John believed in Jesus Christ and lived as a follower of Him. His faith was an important part of who he was and how he viewed the world.

Kelly will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him and those fortunate enough to share life with him.
