Dr. John "Jack" R. Bodker III, age 72, passed away on August 30, 2025, peacefully at his home in Scottsdale, AZ. He was the beloved husband of Carol Bodker with whom he shared 24 incredible years of marriage, and the loving father of Ryan Bodker. Born on May 22, 1953 and raised in Independence, Ohio, he was the son of John R. Bodker, Jr. and Lillian Lucille (Kross) Bodker. After graduating from Independence High as a class salutatorian, Jack attended John Carroll University for his undergraduate degree and then The Ohio State University Medical School. Immediately after medical school graduation, he relocated to Phoenix, Arizona to do a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, followed by a fellowship year at the University of Arizona in Tucson where he studied nuclear and cardiovascular subspecialty radiology. Jack decided to settle in Scottsdale and practiced diagnostic radiology in the Phoenix metropolitan area for 35 years. During his last 10 years of practice, "Dr. B" had the unique opportunity to work in the outpatient private industry space developing 320-CCTA with advanced 3D imaging post-processing. Among Jack's interests and hobbies were golf, classic cars, karaoke, contemporary art, Mexican beach resort vacations and summer vacationing on the Croatian Island of Hvar. He took great pride in personally designing and building his dream home overlooking the Taliesen West foothills where he could appreciate the sheer beauty of the Sonoran Desert. Jack is survived by wife Carol (Belick) Bodker, son John Ryan Bodker and sister Sharon Lee Bodker. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Craig R. Bodker. For those who knew him best, he was always a fun-loving kid at heart and will be sorely missed. Cremation has taken place.

I worked with Jack for many years. We shared many trips and experiences together. He was like a brother to me. He was a wonderful person and I miss him very much.
