Born June 11th, 1957, in Indianapolis to the late Michael and Brooks Boeke, John Boeke was a man of many passions and his life a testament to the power of consistency and selflessness. He loved to read and listen to music, spending hours each day in his library that he designed himself or in spiritual contemplation out in the beautiful yard he helped build and maintain. As a young man, he studied Shakespearean Literature and minored in Pottery at the University of Evansville, a lifelong passion he'd reconnected with in his retirement, his boundless creativity a side of him that not enough people had the privilege to see.

He longed to be out in nature, a place he said he felt closer to God, a place where he found peace and a reprieve from the many responsibilities he took on with the generosity of spirit that was so typical of him. He spent much of his life working in the lumber industry, as his father had before him and his eldest son does now, gaining a well-deserved reputation for excellence that spoke to his dedication and discipline. In all things, John acted with his whole heart, a quiet determination that inspired everyone around him.

He passed in his home on December 22nd, 2025, and is survived by a family he loved dearly and who will miss him greatly: his wife Lianne, sons Robert and Joshua, daughter Brianna, daughter-in-law Elizabeth, grandson Hudson, and sisters Christine, Jennifer, Beth, and Brooks. He was preceded in death by his older brother Steve. John was 68 years old, taken too soon but leaves behind many who will remember and celebrate him and the wonderful life he led.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 5th, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park, Prairie Water - 4180 Westfield Rd, Noblesville, IN 46062. The service will begin at 3:00 PM with time for anyone to share stories about his life.
