John W. Bosko

John Welton Bosko of Auburn Hills, passed away January 11, 2026. He was 84. Beloved husband of the late Carol; loving father of Jeff Petz, Steve (Monika) Petz, Jeanne Bosko, and the late Larry (Laura) Petz; proud grandpa of Collin, Sarah, Haley, Hunter, Maia, Logan, and Mason; dear brother of Dorothy (late Tom) Schmidt, Ann (late Leo) Popour, late Walter (Bev) Bosko, and the late Fred (late Claire) Bosko; brother-in-law of Linda (Dennis) Duquette. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
John, a devoted family man and proud veteran, retired from Ford Motor Company after more than 35 years of dedicated service, where his hard work and commitment earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Before his professional career, John honorably served his country as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, demonstrating courage and integrity in every aspect of his duty. Above all, John was a loving father and a cherished grandfather, affectionately known as "Pa" by his grandchildren. His family was the center of his world, and he created countless memories filled with warmth and laughter. An avid golfer, John found joy on the greens, sharing his passion for the sport with friends and family. He will be remembered for his unwavering love, his sense of humor, and his dedication to those he held dear.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026 – 6pm at Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd., Orion. The family will receive friends Sunday - 3pm until time of service.
