For John "JB" Boxley - A Breath of Fresh Air
In New Britain, our hearts are heavy,
for a light so bright has gone home.
John "JB" Boxley-
a breath of fresh air,
a spirit you felt before you even saw him.
He wasn´t just family...
he was our cousin,
but closer than that-
a cousin to all of us,
the kind that ties a family together,
the kind everyone could call, depend on, laugh with,
the cousin who felt like a brother in every way that mattered.
He walked into a room
with that smile that lifted the whole day,
that voice-smooth, rich, heaven-kissed-
the kind that made your eyebrows rise
and your heart soften.
He sang like he was born with music in his bones,
and when he laughed, it wrapped around you
like warmth on a cold night.
JB was wit, he was charm, he was truth.
Sharp as a whip,
funny as they come,
compassionate in a way rare in this world.
He had jokes for days-
the kind that left your cheeks aching
and your stomach hurting
because he didn´t just make you laugh,
he made you feel joy.
Late-night talks,
deep conversations,
advice that always hit the heart.
He had our backs,
steady and strong-
no questions asked.
He loved hard,
cooked with soul,
and dressed like every day was a celebration-
because for JB, life was something to show up for.
And now he rests,
wrapped in peace,
reunited with his mother,
his brother,
his sister-
a family of angels welcoming him home.
Though he left too soon,
far too soon,
his presence still lingers
in every memory, every laugh,
every story being told today
in homes across New Britain.
John,
we hope you´re looking down on us-
that beautiful smile shining,
that big heart still beating
in the echoes of our love.
You touched more lives than you ever knew.
You will be missed more than words can carry.
Until we meet again, cousin...
Rest in peace,
Rest in power,
Rest in love-
our beautiful JB,
forever a breath of fresh air. Love Cousin Dawn
