WATERFORD John W. Brennan III, 70, of Canal St. Passed away Sunday March 8, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born and educated in Troy he was the son of the late John W. Brennan Jr. and Mary Catherine Loucks Brennan.

John was a self-employed truck driver and also had owned and operated the former A&J Automotive Repair Service in Waterford.

He enjoyed riding his Indian Motorcycle of which he was very proud. His greatest enjoyment though was time spent with his grandchildren.

John was the husband of the late Anita Ianuzzi Brennan who died in 2025. He is survived by his sons, John W. Brennan IV of Waterford and Timothy Brennan (Casey) of Cropseyville. He is the brother of Jimmy Brennan of Troy, Maureen Cooney (Kevin) of Watervliet, Danny Brennan of Ft. Myers, FL, Susan Brennan of Watervliet and the late Michael Brennan. A sister-in-law, Lori Brennan of West Palm Beach, FL also survives. He is the proud grandfather of Kailee, Juliana, Olivia, Sophia, Myla and Jaxon Brennan, Alicia Ruefle and Tiffany Peters. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 10 am at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford.
