John Broskin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boylan Funeral Home, Inc. - Zelienople East on Mar. 30, 2026.
John R. "Jack" Broskin, age 75, formerly of Economy Borough, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople, where he resided.

Born September 12, 1950, in Economy Borough, he was the son of the late William R. and Dorothy (Scott) Broskin.

Jack was the greatest man to all who were lucky enough to know him. He was full of kindness, patience, and quiet strength. Hardworking and humble, he lived his life with purpose and with a deep, steady love for his family. His gentle spirit, fierce loyalty, and unwavering support will be remembered always.

He was a member of the North Way Christian Community Church in Wexford. And a graduate of Ambridge Area High School. He worked as a tool and dye engineer at Eaton Corporation for 44 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially the time he spent hunting and fishing.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Janet L. Broskin; his children, Kristen (Chris) Donahue, William Broskin, Sara (Brian) Stakeley, and Angela (Owen) Bates; his grandchildren, who sweetly referred to him as "Pap," Braeleigh, Brogan, and Brecklynn Donahue, and Siena and Ashton Bates; and his brother, Don Broskin, who will forever carry his love and values in their hearts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen (Cottage) Broskin, with whom he shared many years of love, devotion, and family.

Jack's legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

To honor his love for his family, contributions may also be made in support of his grandson, Brogan Donahue, as he bravely continues his fight against Juvenile Dermatomyositis, to the Cure JM Foundation, P.O. Box 45768, Baltimore, MD 21297-5768, or online at http://events.curejm.org/goto/BroganStrong.
