John Dallam Bruninga, Jr., Age 42, of Lascassas, passed away at home on May 22, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was a Native to Davidson County and worked as a Plumber and Proud Business owner which he named after his children. John was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, kayaking, ziplining, Going to Theme parks, amongst many other activities. When he was not outdoors, John was happily a homebody. There, he enjoyed grilling and cooking new recipes he found, gaming with his children, and spending time with his wife and dogs. He loved relaxing at home watching movies preferably Horror and the classics that he grew up to As a funny man and a prankster, one of John's favorite activities was scaring his nieces, and other family members every chance he could, Growing up he always shared a close bond with his sister Katrina. His main goal was to make you smile and laugh. Many Family vacations were spent at the beach, his favorite spot was Navarre Beach Florida.
John will be remembered as a loving and protective husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He is already deeply missed by his family. His charming smile would light up a room and could never be forgotten. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Makayla Bruninga; Father, John Dallam Bruninga, Sr.: Grandparents, Mary Sue and Fred Busby, and Beverly and Hank Bruninga; and Aunts and uncles, Gail Binkley, Betty Hall, Sue Scott, William Busby, Tammy Busby, and Steve Bruninga.
John is survived by his Wife, Melissa Bruninga, Children, Sarah Joyce, Jay Bruninga, and Tyler Joyce; Mother, Delline Mccharen; Stepfather Steve Mccharen; Stepmother Olivia Bruninga; Sister, Katrina Thames (Jason); Nieces, Morgan Haynes (Luke); and Megan Rhode (Taylor); Uncles, Thomas Busby, Wendell Busby, and Roger Busby; Aunt's, Susie Bruninga and Kathy Galvin; And many beloved cousins. Mother-in- Law Nancy Hammond; and Sister-In-Law Shannon Martin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, from 11am until his Celebration of Life at 12pm at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216; (615) 262-3312.
