John Morgan Brunson, III, 53, of Alma passed away June 13, 2024 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta after a short illness. He was born July 15, 1970 in Bacon County.
Morgan was the 6th Honor graduate of the Bacon County High Class of 1989 and a member of Alma First Baptist Church. He also graduated from Armstrong State College with a Bachelor's of Science degree in History.
Survivors include his parents, John Brunson, Jr. and Sandra Anderson Brunson; daughter, Madelynn Sutton (Austin); grandson, Sabastian Issac Sutton of Hazlehurst and sister, Sandye Jarrard (Matthew) of Alma. He was preceded in death by his sister Susanne Brunson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Woods and Dr. Dorothy Doolittle officiating. Interment will follow in Douglas Family Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 10:00 AM until service time.
Active pallbearers will be: Matthew Jarrard, Austin Sutton, Carson Jarrard, John Thomas Jarrard, Nick Fossett and Shannon Boatright. All others in attendance will be considered honorary pallbearers.
Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
