John Raymond Buick, aged 72, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Born on May 21, 1953, in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, John lived a life filled with love, laughter, and passion for his craft.
John spent many years as a dedicated baker, bringing joy to countless people with his incredible meals, cakes, and desserts. His love for cooking was surpassed only by his love for his family, which he adored more than anything. A true child of the Sixties, John embraced life with open arms, cherishing every moment and spreading positivity to everyone around him.
A proud veteran of the US Army, John carried with him the values of dedication and service throughout his life. He was the vibrant heart of his family and circle of friends, always full of stories and smiles, living each day to its fullest potential.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Georgia, his grandson Cruz, and his beloved dogs Sophie and Tiny.
John leaves behind his loving wife, Vickie Buick, his sister Michelle, and his children: Jay and his wife Lisa, Albert and his wife Tammy, Richard and his wife Sarah, James and his wife Kate, Larry and his wife Kelly, Phillip. His legacy continues through his 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
