John Bulmer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hahn Funeral Home on Jan. 25, 2026.
John Bulmer, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, in South Bend, IN, at the age of 70. He was born on April 29, 1955, in Connorsville, IN, to the late Kenneth and Carol (Hokey) Bulmer.

John proudly served his country as a Navy veteran stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Base. His dedication to his nation was mirrored in his commitment to his community, where he owned and operated Bulmer Construction. John's work ethic and integrity left a lasting impact on the industry and those who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn (Clark) Bulmer, who was his partner in all of life's adventures. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their children, Amanda (Mike) Dahan, Brandi (Chris) Lintz, and James (Michelle) Bulmer. John's joy was multiplied by his grandchildren, Andrew, Jenna, Austin, Lily, Riley, Violet, Maggie, Alexandra, Wyatt, Alexis, Kaige, and Jayce who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and laughter. His brother, William Bulmer, will fondly remember John's guidance and friendship, as will many extended family members and a multitude of friends.

An avid Bengals football fan, John's enthusiasm for the game was infectious. He found solace and happiness in the great outdoors, especially when he was near the water, fishing rod in hand. His love for nature and the simple pleasures of life was a lesson in contentment for all who knew him.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, January 29th, from 11am-1pm in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A funeral service for John will be held immediately following the visitation in the funeral home. John will be laid to rest in Ferrisville Cemetery, Mishawaka, IN.
