John Calvin Byerly

John passed into the arms of his Savior, Jesus, on February 11, 2026. He was born in Peoria, IL, on December 17, 1942. After growing up in Texas, he attended college and majored in Math and Physics. As a computer Engineer, he worked 44 years with the government working on aircraft, helicopters and missile launches in Florida. He was truly a "Rocket Scientist" and sat on the computer controls for many of the GPS launches.

Music and singing in church choirs, San Antonio Master Singers, and Barbershop Choruses, were his favorite activities.

His greatest love being his best friend, Jesus Christ, he spent many hours studying the Bible and sharing the Word with others. His greatest gift was helping others and he knew how to talk to anybody about anything especially his faith.

John is joined in heaven with his parents, grandparents, sister, Marietta, and other family members. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his brother, Dan; son, Jonathan and wife, Peyton; and his daughter, Candice and by many nephews, nieces, grandchildren and family.
