Funeral services for John Randall Cagle, known by everyone as Randy, will be held 10:00 AM Thursday August 8, 2024 from the sanctuary of Hebert Methodist Church with Bro. Randy Hatten and Bro.Clyde Fowler officiating. Interment will folllow in the Hebert Cemetery under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. The Cagle Family will receive visitors on Wednesday August 7, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Visitation on Thursday will begin at the church at 9:00 AM.
John Randall Cagle was born on December 18, 1956 at West Monroe,Louisiana to the union of his parents, the late George Strickland Cagle, JR and Ollie Maude Wheelis Cagle. He passed from this life on August 3, 2024 at his residence following a sudden illness.He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother George Strickland Cagle , III better known as Pete.
Randy was a Master Carpenter and was always involved in construction projects all over Caldwell Parish and beyond. He was the life blood of many of these projects. Most importantly he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews., He loved fishing, the Caldwell Country Christmas Parade where he was always active and even served as Santa Claus numerous times. It is safe to say that the lack of his presence in our community will be felt for a long time.Randy loved playing music and singing. He was always a joy to be around.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Nancy Carmony Cagle, of Columbia; three sons, Rick Cagle (Stephanie), Carlos Ledesma (Rebecca), and Cliff Nordstrom (Rhonda) all of Columbia. His daughter, Andrea Warford of Tennessee; two brothers, Malvin Cagle (Ashley) of Grayson and James Cagle (Phyllis) of West Monroe; two sisters, Annette Calhoun (Roger) of Bernice and Sherry Bell (Mike) of Monroe and grandchildren,Chelsea Ingle (Jessie), Alexis Edwards (Dylan), Gavin Cagle, Alyssa Cagle, Gabe Ledesma, Oaklee Ledesma; and great grand children, Luke Ingle, John Paul Ingle, and Jude Ingle.
Pallbearers include Carlos Ledesma, Steven Cagle, Charles Cagle, Rick Cagle, Richard Meredith and Mark Corley. Honorary pallbearers include Ronnie Darden, Mark Alford and Randy Hatten.
