Obituary of John A. Camera, II
John A. Camera II, 79 years of Somerdale NJ, passed away suddenly on the night of November 23, 2022. Son of the late Jack and Norma Camera. Beloved husband of Leonore Camera. Loving father of Kathy (David) and Ephraim (Tracey). Dear brother to Patricia Bowidowicz and Charles Camera. Caring grandfather to Christina, Alyssa, Brianna, Gabriella, and Joshua.
John was born September 21, 1943, to Jack and Norma Camera in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As part of a military family, John moved to many different places during his childhood. Some of his favorites include his time living in Spain and Hawaii. John went on to graduate from the University of Rhode Island. Following in his father's footsteps, John joined the United States Army. He served his country proudly as a helicopter pilot for one of the Army generals in Vietnam. After his service, he continued his career as a flight instructor teaching others to fly helicopters. John joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1970. He worked in the FBI for 30 years, making life-long memories and friends.
John was a true renaissance man, and his hobbies were endless. He enjoyed skiing at Smuggler's Notch Resort in Vermont. He was also very creative and enjoyed painting. He loved practicing Judo and Karate in his free time. In addition to that, he loved singing and playing his guitar. During his relaxation, he liked solving Sudoku puzzles. John loved being involved in his Church and honoring the Lord with his life. However, John's true love was spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing John.
The family is planning a memorial service to honor John in the spring of 2023. They are hoping that everyone who knew John will be able to attend the memorial to celebrate his life. Arrangements under the direction of the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, BERLIN NJ. To leave lasting condolences or photos, please use the links on this page.

I remember John as one of the FBI special agents in the Camden NJ Resident Agency. They were an inspiring group of exceptional people. As an Assistant US Attorney, I learned much from them and always enjoyed being in their company. It seems like yesterday that I was with John, with his welcoming smile, living up to the Bureau´s highest standards.
