John Dawson Carlisle, age 56, was born on March 14, 1968, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Clyde “Buster” Carlisle and Frances H. Carlisle. He passed away, unexpectedly, on August 8, 2024, doing what he loved most, coaching.
John began as a sports broadcaster with the Clarksville, Texas radio station. He ended his coaching career at Richard’s ISD, Richards, Texas, coaching volleyball. John had a heart as big as Texas and he always wanted to help anyone. He was a friend to all. He loved the Lord, his family, his friends, and southern gospel music, especially the Gaithers!
