John A. "Jack" Cassidy

Middletown, NY
John A. "Jack" Cassidy of Middletown, a retired member of the FDNY and a longtime resident of the area, passed away on December 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 86.
The son of the late John and Dorothy McCluskey Cassidy, he was born on September 2, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York.
Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Westchester Field Trial Club and was a member of the FDNY Retirees Organization.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia "Ginny" Cassidy at home; his children: Jill Lindner of Port Jervis, NY, John "Jack" Cassidy Jr. of Middletown, NY, Nancy Palmer (Ike) of Otisville, NY, and Frank Cassidy (Angela) of Middletown, NY. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held on Monday December 14, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery 111 Craigville Rd., Goshen, NY.
