John Michael Cavote of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2023. He was 72-years old.
John was born to John and Wanda Cavote on May 21, 1950, in Nelsonville, Ohio. John was a loving husband, father, mentor, and inspiration to all who knew him. He will be remembered for his generosity, his passion for everything he set his mind to do, and most of all, his love for his family. John attended Cleveland State University and worked hard to build several successful businesses during his life. He enjoyed his dogs and spending time on his farm and in the Florida Keys. Most of all, John enjoyed spending time with his family.
John is survived by his wife Laurie Cavote and four children, Tina Sage of Louisville, Sean Cavote and his wife Priscilla Hernandez of New York City, Stacey Taylor and her husband Steve of Ohio, and Jon Cavote of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, along with fifteen grandchildren, Hope Conner, John Goodwin, Alex Workman, Isabella Sage, Andrew Sage, Zachary Cavote, Jacob Cavote, Leslie Sandi, Ian Risner, Monica McLaughlin, Auston Bronson, Jaxon Cavote, Gavin Cavote, Tyler Cavote, and Briella Cavote. He is also survived by his sister, Connie Cavote, along with his nephew Dusty Spear.
John was predeceased by his parents, John and Wanda, his grandson, John Thomas Cavote, and his niece, Wendy Spear.
A private Graveside Service will take place in Brookland Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. at Maraman Billings Funeral Home.
