John was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Cazares; stepson, Rick Johnson; son-in-law, Jake Hodge; and daughter-in-law, Lisa Johnson.
He is survived by his children, Robert, Anthony, Sophia, Trina, Vincent, and Shannon Cazares; stepchildren, Linda (John) McManaway, Connie Hodge, Ted Johnson, and Cinda Johnson; nine grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; brothers, Isaiah, Joshua, Daniel, Joseph, Manuel, Banabas, and Ezekiel Cazares; sisters, Olivia, Rebekah, Magdaline, Ruth, Esther, and Elizabeth Cazares; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, December 27, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Steve Whaley officiating.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
