John Thomas "Jack" Celesnik

John T. "Jack" Celesnik, 78, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at The Avenue at Aurora Rehab.
Born Aug. 19, 1944, in Greensburg, Pa., he had lived in Portage County for the past 14 years.
Jack enjoyed cars and trucks, had many friends and was the best friend to all who knew him.
Mr. Celesnik had worked at QC Trucking and was the former owner of JTC Automotive in Mentor, prior to his retirement.
Jack was the loving father of Lisa Celesnik of Lancaster, Calif., and Jacquelyn (John) Whitman of Santa Clarita, Calif.; cherished grandfather of Alexis Aronson; dear uncle of Judith Stricker-White, Mary Gress, Bob (Marilyn) Vihtelic, Anneliese Pollock, Scott Lembach and Patricia (Chris) Garrett; and many great-nieces and great-nephews who affectionately called him "Moose." He also leaves his significant other of 26 years, Betty Sparling; and her children, Lannette (John) Nichols, Rebecca (Tim) Ruprecht and Matthew (Cheryl) Sparling. Jack was loved by all of their children who called him "Goppy."
He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Mary P. (nee McGrath) Celesnik; and siblings, Donna Mika, Judith Lembach and Jimmy Celesnik.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers contributions in his name are suggested in care of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
