John Robert Chastain

John Robert Chastain, aged 22, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
Born on December 13, 2002, in Greenville, South Carolina, John was the son of David Chastain and Patricia Chastain.
John was known for his quiet yet kind spirit. Affectionately remembered by his family and friends, he was a gentle soul who loved God, his family, and his church family. He found joy in playing video games, working on computers, and taking gentle care of his cat, Sunny. He worked at Home Depot and helped people there with a true servant's heart.
In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memory are his loving sister, Laurie Chastain; uncles, Dennis Chastain (Jane) and Patrick DuBose (Lyn); aunt, Dorothy Cantrell; and cherished cousins, Alicia and Katelyn DuBose. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be deeply missed.
He is preceded by his grandparents, Eugene and Mary Dubose and Warrie Artis and Sarah Elizabeth Chastain.
There will be a memorial service on Monday November 24, at 4:00 p.m. for family and friends at Rock Springs Baptist Church. A visitation will be held on the same day from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Rd #1430, Easley, SC 29642.
