It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick Michael Gribbin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us on November 16, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on February 14, 1960, in Portland, Maine to the late Watson and Josephine Flaherty Gribbin. Patrick was the youngest of five siblings and brought warmth and joy to all who knew him.
Starting in 1981, Patrick created a remarkable career in the refrigeration and cold storage business that spanned over four decades. He dedicated his expertise to the industry, spending the last nine years as a Senior Sales Manager at Heat Transfer Products Group (HTPG), where he earned the respect of his colleagues and clients alike. In 2017, he moved to
Greenville, South Carolina, to be closer to his family, further enriching his life with cherished moments spent with them.
Patrick was not only an incredible husband to his beloved wife of many years, Annette, but also a proud father to his sons, Patrick (Catherine) and Ryan (Jillian). His greatest joy came from being a grandfather, where he truly shined, sharing his love and wisdom with his grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters, Elizabeth Winship (Gary) and Corinne Cameron; brother, Mark Gribbin (Brenda); and several nieces and nephews. He had an infectious spirit; he never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with open arms and a warm smile.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Gribbin, Jr.
A celebration of Patrick's life will be announced and held after the first of the year, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the countless ways he touched our lives. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, continuing Patrick's legacy of kindness and generosity.
