John O. Coffey, 85 formerly of Dublin, died Tuesday August 26, 2025 at the Marion General Hospital.
He was born on December 3, 1939 in Thompsonville, Illinois to the late Newman and Reva (Cross) Coffey.
John graduated from Madison Heights High School in Anderson, Indiana. He attended Anderson University, following graduation from the University, he was drafted from by the U.S. Army. He was stationed at Ft. George, in Mead Maryland.
He was in retail for many years. John worked at the East Liberty Honda plant; he retired from there. John enjoyed traveling with a special friend, Carolyn Patrick. He also spent time hiking with dear friends Jim Jenkins, Bob Walling and Ray Mc Cutcheon.
He attended Meadow Park Church where he was very active. He especially enjoyed his Sunday School Class and going on trips with the Emeritus Senior Adult Ministries.
John is survived by a sister Reda (Fred) Isler of Prospect and nephews Steve (Katie) Isler, Tim (Shelley) Isler and Kevin (Terasa) Isler.
Also great nephews and niece, Caleb Isler, Christian Isler, Brandon Isler, Isaac Isler, Abby Isler and Ben Isler.
Funeral services will be held Thursday September 4, 2025 at 4pm at Meadow Park Church, 2425 Bethel Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43322. Rev. Dr. Mark Krenz will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at 3 pm at the church. Graveside services will be at 10 am on Friday September 5, 2025 at Prospect Cemetery, where there will be Military Honors given by the Vietnam Veterans of America #1095.
The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
