John L. Copling of Cuba, Missouri was born on June 6, 1954 in Crawford County, Missouri to the union of John W. and Louise (Gruver) Copling and left from this life at Harry S. Truman V.A. Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the age of 61. John worked as a Class A Machinist most of his life. He owned and operated Precision Alignments in Rockford, Illinois for several years. He honorably served his Country in the U.S. Marine Corps. His hobbies included deer hunting, fishing, guns, fast cars, bonfires and enjoying the great outdoors. John is preceded in death by his father John W. Copling; step-father William "Bill" Lause; one sister Joyce Deardeuff; one brother-in-law Phinis Deardeuff. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Tammy (Harrington) Copling of Cuba, Missouri; six children Todd and wife Tammy Jo Copling Kurtenbach of Loves Park, Illinois, Kathern and husband William Smull of Pecatonica, Illinois, Brandi and wife Julie Copling of Loves Park, Illinois, Christine and husband Josh Dement of Farmington, Missouri, Crystal and husband Collin Andersen of Littleton, Colorado, Victoria and husband Justin Wells of Irondale, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren Drake, Kylee, Skylar, Todd, Travis, Michael, Marcus, Cheynne, Ashlyn, Kylie, Chase, Madison, Mellisa, Trenton, Treavor; mother Louise (Gruver) Lause of Cuba, Missouri; three sisters Judy Gunn of St. Louis, Missouri, Karen and husband Mike Garrison of Cuba, Missouri, Victoria Arnett of St. Louis, Missouri; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 2:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremiah Wilson, officiating. Honored to be serving as pallbearers, Todd Copling Kurtenbach, Todd Copling Kurtenbach, Jr., Travis Kurtenbach, Bill Smull, Drake Busby and Robert Gunn. Interment with follow with full military honors at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri 65453. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of John L. Copling.
