Thomas Wiggins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Parker Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. on Feb. 16, 2026.
Thomas Milton Wiggins, 91, of Parker Colorado passed away peacefully on January 28,2026
at his home.
He was born in Cuba, Missouri on April 3,1934. Tom graduated from the University of
Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. While at the
University, he enrolled in ROTC and following graduation he entered the Army Reserves. He
completed his service as a First Lieutenant.

In 1957 he married Sarah Hedley of Houston TX where he lived until their divorce. Tom
moved to Morrison, Colorado for a brief period of time, but a job offer took him to
Indianapolis, Indiana. It was there that he met and married his wife Judy on June 10, 1967.
Less than a year later, he was offered a job in Denver, Colorado. They lived there until 1976
when they moved to The Pinery in Parker Colorado.

When the business in Denver was sold, Tom purchased the insurance portion of it and
opened Parker Insurance Company, where he worked until he sold it and retired. He was an
active member of the Parker Optimist Club for several years, and served as President from
1978-1979.

Throughout the years, Tom enjoyed many leisure activities. While in Indiana, he partnered
with a friend who provided music for lyrics that Tom wrote. The result was a published CD.
Sports always played a big part in his life. He enjoyed skiing, bowling, football, baseball,
basketball, and tennis. But his greatest love was golf, so The Pinery was the perfect place to
live.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Smith, his father, Charles Wiggins, his five
sisters, Marie Wolf, Beth Smith, Vivian Campbell, Florence Henty, Helen Marsh, and his
brother, Charles Wiggins.
Surviving family members are his wife, Judy, his son Thomas David Wiggins (Elane),
grandsons Travis and Trevor, son Eric Jarvis (Jessica), grandsons Jude and Ty, daughter
Laura Preister (Paul), grandsons Austin and Kyle, and daughter Kelly Horne (Steve),
grandson Braeden.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church (PEPC), 9030
Miller Road, Parker Colorado, 80138 on Saturday March 14, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
