John "Jack" Cozzens Obituary
John "Jack" Cozzens, Sr. 64 of Newburg, MD Passed away on Wednesday March 5, 2025 in Florida.
Jack was born on July 17, 1960 in Washington, DC to Patricia Cozzens and the late Richard Cozzens. He is also predeceased by his sister, Kathy Gray.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Sharon Cozzens; sons, John Cozzens, Jr. and James Dahlstedt; daughter, Samantha McFadden (Luke); brothers, Jerry Cozzens (Joy) and Jimmy Cozzens (Karen); sister, Peggy Coberly (Bill); grandchildren, Lennox and Millie McFadden.
Jack worked as a superintendent for Cozzens Construction. He loved the outdoors, getting his hands dirty, Kayaking and vacationing at the beach. He was known for being a jack of all trades, enjoying a good book, watching the Washington Redskins and spending time with his grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 18, 2025 from 4 to 7 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary's Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646). His Funeral service will be on Wednesday March 19, 2025 at the Funeral Home at 11 AM. Interment to follow at the Mount Rest Cemetery in LaPlata, MD.
If you wish memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association (P.O. Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284).
