John Crebase Obituary

John Joseph Crebase
John Joseph Crebase, 70, died on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at home after a lengthy illness. Born in Meriden, Connecticut on April 29, 1955, he was the son of the late Adeline M. (Szymaszek) and John S. Crebase. He resided in Meriden and attended Maloney High School.
John was employed at Bob's Garage for many years and also worked as a dedicated employee at Hancock's Pharmacy in Meriden. He was a member of the Meriden PBA and the Central Connecticut Dart Association. In his free time, he enjoyed playing softball and bowling, as well as watching football and NASCAR. John also loved cooking on the grill and often liked to take a quick trip to the local grocery store to pick up ingredients for one of his favorite meals-one that only he knew how to make.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Crebase) Gosselin and her husband, Stephen H. Gosselin; two grandchildren, Ava and Colton; two sisters, Kathleen (Crebase) Conlan and her husband, John Conlan, and Elizabeth (Crebase) Gostyla; a brother, Richard J. Crebase and his wife, Lori Crebase; a niece, Aimee (Conlan) Altemus; and two nephews, Brian A. Conlan and Christopher J. Conlan.
Burial with family and friends will be held privately at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. For online condolences, please visit jferryfh.com.
