In Loving Memory of John Daniel "Bud" Cushman.
John Daniel Cushman, age 63, a cherished son, brother, and friend, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 surrounded by the love of his family and friends. A true country man at heart, John was born and raised in Windsor, South Carolina. John's passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for fishing, where he often found peace and solace on the Edisto River.
John's departure has left an indelible mark on our hearts, but we take solace in knowing that his legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched. We will miss his laughter, his gentle presence, and the simple pleasures he found in life's everyday moments.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his beloved mother, Charity Cushman; his devoted brother, Sonny Cushman; and his loving sisters, Evelyn Hicks, June Ingram, Joyce Harris, and Jennie Mae Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Newton Cushman. John's spirit will continue to live on through the stories they share and the memories they hold dear.
As we bid farewell to John, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, casting his line into the heavenly waters. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from one p.m. until two p.m. in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC. A Graveside Funeral Service will immediately follow at the Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Tim Webb officiating.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are, Chad Edward Cushman, Dalton Hicks, Ricky Hicks, Robby Hicks, Jonathan Smith and Nicholas Smith.
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear."
Rest in peace, John.
