D'Amico. John Jr. "Dollar John"
Rochester: passed away peacefully on Friday, December 16, 2022, at age 101. Predeceased by his loving wife, Delma; granddaughter, Zoe McGowans; sisters, Maimy Caruso, Mary Altavela and Dora Rodrigues. He is survived by his daughters, Ruth Nash, Laura Mohr, Linda (Richard Sr.) Lenzi, Johann (Raymond) McGowans of FL; grandchildren, John (Jennifer) Nash, Christina Greisch, Jaime-Lyn (Kevin) O'Brien, Ashley Mohr, Andrea DiStefano, Jennifer (Juan) Davila, Richard Jr. (Laura) Lenzi, Andrew (Kelly) Lenzi, Aja McGowans; 23 great grandchildren; dear nieces, Ann Marie Alexander, Julie Goldstein and Gail Klee. John was a current member of the Sons of St. Lucy, and the oldest member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 46. John's daily routine was having coffee with his friends at McDonalds, working out vigorously at Esporta (LA Fitness), and spending time with his friends at OTB and the Gates Library.
Friends may call TUESDAY from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Wednesday, December 21, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30AM at St. Theodore's Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Those wishing, donations may be directed to Dr. Christopher Cove, URMC Department of Cardiology or Dr. David Lambert, URMC Depart of Internal Medicine,, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642 or to Columbia Heart Valve Center TAVR Team, 177 Fort Washington Ave., New York, NY 10032 in his memory.
