Ralph Englert's battle with cancer ended in a draw on Feb. 21, 2026. He was 63.
A dedicated teacher in the Albion Central School District for 33 years, Ralph attended Bishop Kearney High School and St. John Fisher College. He was an avid collector of comics, a lover of horror movies, a tenacious fisherman, and a lifelong fan of the Boston Bruins.
Predeceased by his uncle, Dick Huber; nephew Jon Huber; and beloved Siberian Huskies Nikita and Zdena. Survived by sisters Nancy Huber, Mary (Ernie) Fuhrer, Laurie (Tom) Petronio, Judy (Ron) Viccaro; brother Louis (Pati Vito) Englert; nieces and nephews Chris (Audra) Huber, Matt Sherman, Beth (Rick Premo) Sherman, Bryan (Jessica) Viccaro, Kyle (Brittany) Viccaro, Lou Englert, and Erica (Dan Kieliszek) Englert; several great nieces and nephews, especially Louis and Evelyn Englert; and longtime friends Steve White and Dan Petronio.
A service will be held on Sat., March 7 at 11:30 at St. John the Evangelist Greece, 2400 W. Ridge Rd., followed by a party in Ralph's honor at Barnard Banquet Hall, 360 Maiden La. Donations in his memory may be made to PAWS Animal Shelter, 3371 Gaines Basin Rd., Albion NY 14411, or the wounded veterans hockey program Flower City Warriors, PO Box 23521, Rochester NY 14692.
