After the war in 1945 John worked at the Italian Swiss Colony in Clovis where he met the love of his life, Ruth Hale. They married in 1948. Completed their family with their son Johnny and daughter Darlene.

John began his career in the wine industry in 1947. Through the years he was well known as a Winemaster, winery plant manager and grower relations at several wineries.

John enjoyed traveling with Ruth, gardening and especially loved being with his family and dogs. He also enjoyed his grandkids, great grandkids, great great grandkids, nieces and nephews.
