John Daney Sr.

John Daney of Atlanta, GA was born on February 5, 1964 in Sumter, SC to the late Odonald Daney and late Annie Mae Daney Brown. He departed this life on October 5, 2024. John attended the public schools of Sumter, SC, and was a graduate of Sumter High School class of 1982. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and became a certified nursing assistant in the later years of his life.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son John Daney, Jr., three sisters: Odell (Linwall) Ireland of Bronx, NY, Patricia Spencer of Sumter, SC, Diretha (Thoney) Williams of Sumter, SC; three brothers: Cornell Daney of Columbia, SC, Aaron Daney of Sumter, SC, and Lawrence Daney of Charlotte, N.C. He also leaves a host of beloved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Odonald Daney and Annie Mae Daney Brown, sister Carolean Anderson, and brothers Odonald Daney Jr., Griffin Daney, Kinnie "K.C." Daney and Roland Daney.
