John Michael Davis

John Michael Davis, 72, of Findlay, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

He was born Feb. 28, 1952, in Bellevue, to Robert L. and Helen (Walters) Davis.

John married Susan Fisher on June 12, 1976, and she survives along with his mother, Helen Davis; three sons, Ryan Andrew (Rachel) Davis of Cincinnati, Kyle Landon (Kristin) Davis of Columbus Grove, and Justin Michael (Magdalena) Davis of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Caiden, Caleb, Keegan, Kyiah, and Kayanna; brother, Robert Davis of Oak Harbor; and sisters, Susie Anson of Cleveland and Stacey (Matt) Timmons of St. George, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Davis; and two brothers, Tom and Jim Davis.

John worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Midwest Laser and Omega Design. He was a soccer referee and coach and served on Hancock Soccer Board. He was also a Cubmaster in Cub Scouts. John was a proud and active member of Lions International for 46 years where he served as District Governor three separate times and served as Cabinet Treasurer. John was also Winter Retreat Chair, State Conventions Chair, Compliance Chair, and Diabetes Chair. He was also Treasurer for Ohio Lions Pediatric Cancer Foundation and Secretary/Treasurer of PDG Association.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2024, until the time of John's funeral at 3 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Pastor Denny Coates, PDG Dan Ritter, and PDG Ralph Stuebs will officiate. Private family burial will take place later in Sandusky.

Memorial contributions can be made in memory of John to Ohio Lions Pediatric Cancer Foundation, LCIF, or Ohio Lions OH1 (note Diabetes in memo).

So sorry to hear about John, we worked together at Lowe's for a long time, and he would always help me if I asked him or not. John will be missed by many.
