John Michael Decker

Beloved father, grandfather, and brother passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Adira Nursing and Rehab Center at the age of 73.

John was born January 25, 1953, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of the late John J. and Kathleen (Dowdy) Decker. He was a devoted fan of Michigan football, the Detroit Lions, and the Detroit Tigers. John loved both playing and watching golf and proudly recorded a hole-in-one at Beech Hollow Golf Course during his years on the course. He also enjoyed playing pool and bowling. A true car enthusiast, John had a special appreciation for muscle cars and the power and style they represented.

John dedicated more than 40 years of his life serving the Saginaw community as a barber before his retirement.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jennifer (Mike) Ozerajtys, David Decker, and Jacob Decker-Schaeding (Sam); five grandchildren, Kayla (Matt), Ava, Tyler, Miley, and Parker; four siblings, Don (Sandy) Hodgins, Brenda Decker, Pamela Decker, and Janet (Andrew) Spaeth; as well as a niece and several nephews.

A Memorial Service for John will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Snow Funeral Home, 3775 Center Road (between McCarty Road and Shattuck Road). Chaplain Wayne Barrett will officiate the service. Friends may visit the Snow Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service, where the family will be present to greet visitors.
