We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of John Fletcher Deerman, who passed away in his home near La Union, NM on August 15, 2024. Fletcher was born in El Paso, Texas on January 16, 1951, to Willard Lee Deerman and Florence Vera Hawker Deerman.
Fletcher had worked for numerous trucking companies in the valley hauling agricultural products to and from markets and farms. He traveled many of the states behind the Wheel of his truck.
Fletcher was a member of the First Baptist Church in El Paso, Texas. He was a member of the Vintage Iron Antique Tractor Club in Las Cruces and The American Quarter Horse Association. He very much enjoyed his Antique tractors. His favorite of all was his 1966 Peterbilt Truck.
Fletcher is preceded in death by his father Willard Lee Deerman, mother Florence Vera Hawker Deerman, daughter Jennifer Deerman, Grandmother Vera Hawker, nephews Ryan Wayne Deerman and Wade Lee Deerman.
Fletcher is survived by his brother Willard “Bud” Deerman (Sue), sisters Donna Lee Imerman (Dave), Deborah “Debby” Warrick (Mark) numerous nieces and nephews, 6 great-nephews and 3 great-nieces.
A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery in Santa Teresa, NM on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 10:00 am.
