John Sinclair DeGolia, 83, of Coldwater, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at MediLodge of Marshall. He was born on August 1, 1940, the son of the late Sinclair DeGolia and Dorothy Geraldine (Kline) DeGolia.
John graduated from high school in Bay City, MI, attended Albion College and graduated from Western Michigan University with his Bachelor Degree. While he was in college he worked on steam boats on the great lakes. He was a Biology teacher at Hartford High School where he coached baseball & football. He then was a medical service rep for Pfizer for 30 years until retiring in 1999.
John is survived by his Wife of 52 years, Bonnie (Hammond) DeGolia; Sons, John DeGolia (Tonia Miller) and Neil DeGolia (Rhonda Ives); Daughter, Julie (Jeff) Brandt; Grandchildren, Taylor (Jake) Blanchard, Bryce DeGolia, Kailey Fulmer, Bailey, Nathan, and Brayden Brandt; Great Grandchildren, Olivia and Ava Fulmer and a Sister, Susan Lewis.
John enjoyed fishing, golfing, boating, hunting, walking his dog "Kacee" and loved spending time with his family. He loved anything nautical and had a great sense of humor.
A celebration of John's life will be held at the Elk's Lodge of Coldwater, 47 Division Street, Coldwater, MI on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
