John Demrovsky, born February 3, 1944 in Sombor, Yugoslavia and went home to be with the LORD on July 10, 2023.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years Mara Demrovsky (Mijavec); children Maria (Carl) Spengler, Natasha (Misho) Papuga, Mark (Genny) Demrovsky, Shirley (Zack) Mueller; sisters Ana (Radica) Stelkic, Rose Sakac; 13 grandchildren Anthony (Havilah) Spengler, Carasella (Jordan) Mancari, Caleb Papuga, Jacob Papuga, Nathan Papuga, Spencer Papuga, Heidi Papuga, Landon Demrovsky, Connor Demrovsky, Ezra Mueller, Zander Mueller, Harper Mueller, Arowyn Mueller; and 2 great granddaughters Miliana Spengler and Celeste Mancari and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Janko and Suzana Demrovsky, and his brother Misko Demrovsky. He was a member of the West Akron Apostolic Christian Church in Copley. He was baptized at East Akron Apostolic Christian Church in 1971 and married the love of his life Mara on January 19, 1973. He worked for Goodyear for 40 years and enjoyed many years of retirement.
John taught all of his children the ways of the LORD, how to serve Him, and how to love the LORD. He loved selflessly and unconditionally. He always gave of himself without thought of the cost and with an open hand. He had a great love for soccer, fishing, the outdoors, gardening, and walking / jogging. He had a very large and beautiful garden. He had many fruit trees and loved taking his children and grandchildren around his yard to see what he had, and dropping nuggets of wisdom along the way. He walked 5 miles every day except on Sundays, and it didn't matter if it was raining, snowing, hot, cold, it didn't matter the weather, he was out there trying to maintain his health.
There was no middle ground with him, it was either you go big or you don't do it at all. He pushed his children to learn and helped mold them into God fearing and God serving adults. He tried to give his children all that he didn't have and always was thinking of ways that he could help them and show them that he loved them. He was a very hard worker; he may have been small in stature but he was mighty with whatever he set his mind to.
He came to America at age 22 and did not speak any English. He would work 12-16 hour days so that he could help his parents out back in Yugoslavia. In doing so he gave up some of his dreams of a higher education. When he would come home from work, he would sit down and read an English / Serbian dictionary so that he could learn how to speak English. Through this he acquired a love of words, he would often quiz his children on a large word and if they didn't know the meaning he would tell them to look up the word. In his later years he spent a lot of his time with his family. He always told his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren how much he loved them and how beautiful or handsome they are. He had a ready smile for everyone and was a friend to all. He was loved dearly by his family and will be greatly missed. We do not say goodbye to him but we will see you later when we too reach the pearly gates and hear our LORD say "well done my child".

Many shared there loving memories of John walking by their homes, and short conversations greetings with John. He will be missed by all those along his path while on his daily walks.
