John Peter Diani (73) passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, surrounded by his family, in Ogden, Utah. John lived a humble life devoted to his family and country.
John was born January 15,1952 in St. Louis, Missouri to Peter A. Diani and Theresa Caritoni Diani. John graduated from Parks College of St. Louis University. John Served in the United States Air Force from March 1977 until retirement as a Master Sergeant in March 1997. John continued service with the United States Department of Defense until retirement in 2020.
John married the love of his life of 37 years, Becky Diani (Creech) in June 1988; by whom he is survived. John is also survived by adopted son, Kelly Jester, granddaughter, Aja Jester, sister, Antonette Diani, loving in-laws, multiple nieces, nephews cousins.
John in preceded in death by both parents and brother, Peter J. Diani.
John will be remembered as someone who was always willing to help. John had a lifelong passion for golf, bowling, hockey and football. John’s priority was always with his family and could be relied upon by friends and colleagues.
For those lucky enough to have really known John, they will not easily forget him. John left a legacy that will likely continue for generations to come.
A Catholic mass will be held in remembrance of John on Friday January 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 1100 East 5550 South Ogden, Utah. Family and friends may visit Thursday January 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
Interment to follow at Clinton City Cemetery.
