John Donaldson Obituary
Mr. Donaldson is the beloved husband of 61 years to the late Patricia Ann Donaldson (d. 2016). Loving father of John (Susan) Donaldson, Edward Donaldson, Kathleen Mancuso, Mary (Mark) Wisniewski, Andrew (Denise) Donaldson and the late Timothy Donaldson. Grandfather of Jennifer (Wayne), Sean (Jessica), Michael (Laura), James (Elizabeth), Mary Kathleen, Anne Marie (Kurt), Noelle (Joshua), Patrick, Alex (Laura) and Mary Elizabeth (Elissa). Great-grandfather of Elizabeth, Allison, Addison, Max, Shane, Aidan, Evan, Emma, Dominic, Rocco, Dylan, Jack, Gideon, and Maggie. Preceded in death by his sisters Patricia Young and Jane Miller. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Mr. Donaldson was a 1949 graduate of Henry Ford Trade School in Dearborn. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Thule, Greenland. After his discharge he returned home and he completed his journeyman certification and was involved in the carbide cutting tool industry.
Funeral mass from Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard in Northville, Friday, 11 AM (In State 10:30 AM). Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Friends may visit Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 340 N. Pontiac Trail Walled Lake (3 Blks. S. of Maple Rd.) Thursday 4-8 PM (Rosary 7 PM). Memorials to St. Vincent de Paul appreciated.

God's peace be upon the entire Donaldson family. I didn't have the privilege of meeting Mr. Donaldson; however, I had the honor of working with his beloved daughter, Mary. And I look back with great fondness upon that time. She was a consummate professional and always spoke highly of her dad. From what I witnessed, her parents did great work in raising their family.
