Phyllis Viau Obituary
Phyllis was born in Michigan to loving parents Peter and Jean Ficzycz. Growing up she loved to ski, play tennis, hike, and ride horses. Phyllis attended Michigan State University where she received her degree in environmental science of economics of management. While in college she played violin and piano, and her favorite piece was the Messiah, which they played every year at Christmas. Phyllis then spent 35 years working for Wayne County, doing plan review in construction of food service facilities and training employees and managers in the same area. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend, a faithful Ukrainian Orthodox Christian, and caretaker to all.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Jean, and her brother, William. She is survived by her husband Ralph Viau, and children Nicholas and Lesya.
Visitation will be at Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church 36075 7 Mile, Livonia, MI 48152 on Wednesday March 4th from 04:00-06:00 PM, and Thursday March 5th from 09:00-10:30 AM. There will be a Panikhida on March 4th at 06:00PM, and the funeral service will be on March 5th at 10:30 AM, followed by a luncheon.
In Lieu of flowers, donations to the church appreciated.

To Ralph, lesya, and Nicholas..sooo sad to hear about phyllis's passing..this is her 1st cousin Debbie.. Matt malashevsky's daughter (aunty jeans brother)..although we haven't seen one another in many yrs we did spend time together when we were kids...lovely girl and lovely memories..so so sorry for your loss
