78, of Providence, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Charlotte (Deschamps) Dore. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Oliver and Anne (Carmody) Dore. Mr. Dore was an electrician for many years before retiring. John was a member for many years to the American Legion Post on Charles Street, Providence.
John is survived by his three daughters, Linda Gesualdi and her husband the late Louis Gesualdi of Cranston, Pennie Tucker and her husband Kenny of South Carolina, and Heidi Audette of Providence. He was the grandfather of Kaizer and Kyle Labbe, Tracy Lane, Amy Lanoue, Jason, Joseph, and Desiree Gesualdi. John was also the great-grandfather of nine.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. His burial and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
