I am a doorman at the building that Jack resided at with his parents, I have been at my building for nearly 7 years and the only downside to my job is writing these notes for families as my way of showing my appreciation and in this case, my appreciation to Jack and what he meant to me.
Jack was truly one of the most sweetest individuals I have had the privilege of meeting, he never made our staff feel like we were any less of a person and treated us as equals. Always asking us how our families were doing and from a staff standpoint, was one of my favorite residents because of he spoke to us and treated us like friends and not workers and people like him are the best type of people that I have been able to work for.
From a personal aspect, Jack was really motivating and helpful in my journey at school, always told me if I needed help with classes or if I had any questions to never hesitate to ask him and he sure did always help me when he could. I appreciated every single time I was able to see him smile, that smile did a lot for you when you were having a bad day because seeing him smile was enough to bring my mood up and there are not too many smiles like that in this world. He always remembered personal things about you and always making sure to follow up with you about stuff you had previously spoken to him about. I have had so many conversations with Jack, so many memories of him that have been replaying in my head all week and I am happy I was able to meet him.
Jack was incomparable as a person, had a great heart and was amazing in everything he did in his life. I will always remember Jack and the things he did for me, you never know how impactful someone is in your life until they are no longer apart of it, thank you Jack for making my life better with our personal talks and for being considerate of our staff at 100 E. Bellevue. You truly will always have a special place in my heart buddy.
