John C. Dryburgh

John C. Dryburgh, age 76, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023. He was born in McKeesport, PA on July 24, 1947, son of the late James and Christine Dryburgh.

John was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. John was first employed as a mechanic and owner of several auto repair shops. Following that, he lived in Virginia working with a company that built Tomahawk Missiles. John then lived in the Pittsburgh area as a mechanic, returning to Erie 15 years ago.

John is survived by his wife, Linda Dryburgh; six children, Elaine Shams (Ameer), Sarah Dresler (Adelé), Kenneth Dryburgh, Heather Dryburgh, Katrina Venturella (Keith) and David Creighton (Ashley); one sister, Mary Boyd; six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin sister, Sarah Miller; sister, Margaret Stuchul; and granddaughter, Alexis.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Saturday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 pm until the time of the Closing Prayer at 8 pm. Military Honors will be rendered by the American Legion Carl Neff Post 571 at 4 pm.
