John E. "Johnny" Sweat

John E. "Johnny" Sweat Wellford, SC John Earl "Johnny" Sweat, 63, of 291 Mountain View Rd., passed away, Saturday, January 4, 2020, at his residence. Johnny was born in Augusta, Georgia on January 20, 1956, a son of Carl Sweat Jr., of Augusta, Georgia and the late Betty Seagraves Sweat.He was the husband of Cindy Fowler Sweat. Johnny was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church in Wellford, South Carolina, served in the United States Marine Corps and was a truck driver. In addition to his father, Carl and his wife, Cindy, Mr. Sweat is also survived by a daughter, Shannon Sweat Eubanks and her husband Ryan of Wellford, South Carolina; a son, Joshua Sweat of Wellford, South Carolina; three brothers, Bubba DeLoach, Barry DeLoach and Carl Sweat III, ; one sister, Bonnie Pitchford and two grandchildren, Deegan Eubanks and Nixon Eubanks. In addition to his mother, Johnny was predeceased by his step-mother, Jewell Sweat and a brother, Wayne DeLoach. Visitation will be held, Tuesday, January 7, 2020, from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM at Little Mountain Baptist Church, Wellford, South Carolina. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at the church, conducted by Rev. Mark Fowler and Rev. Doug Godfrey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
