John. W. Eaton

April 11, 1960 – January 6, 2026

John W. Eaton, 65, of Tumwater Washington, passed away on January 6, 2026, at St. Peter's Hospital. He was 65 years old.

Born on April 11, 1960, in Honolulu, Hawaii, while his father was stationed there with the United States Marine Corps. His family later moved to Southern California and eventually made Shelton, Washington their home, where john attended Shelton schools.

John was known by all who knew him as a kind, generous, and warm-hearted person who truly love life. He enjoyed having a good time, sharing laughs, and spending time with friends and family. One of his greatest passions was cars-especially hot rods- and he owned many over the years. John took great pride in his 1981 Trans Am, which he had owned since 1982 and enjoyed for decades. He also had a loyal and faithful companion in his beloved beagle, Rosie, who brought him comfort and companionship for many years.

Throughout his working life, John served in a variety of professions, working at the Simpson Mill, construction, plastering and serving as a prison guard at the Shelton Prison. He finished his career as a water and wastewater technician for Thurston County.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Kari Eaton, and his brothers, Joe and Jim. He survived by his brother, Jeff Eaton, and sister-in-law, Paulette.

John will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love of laughter, and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
