Retired Command Sergeant Major John Robert Edge Jr. (Bobby) of St. Pauls, much loved husband, Dad, brother, uncle and friend departed this life to his heavenly home on December 13, 2024 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst at the age of 81. He was born May 12, 1943 in Robeson County to the late John “Robert” Edge and Juanita Patterson Edge. Command Sergeant Major John Robert Edge Jr. (Bobby) served his country faithfully for 33 years with the NC National Guard and civil service.
Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Marjorie “Margie” Walters Edge married for 59 years, one daughter Tamela “Tammy” Edge (Thomas) of St. Pauls, NC, and one son Robert “Kevin” Edge (Sandy) of St. Pauls, NC; one sister: Joyce Edge Hinson (Dickie) of St. Pauls, NC, one brother: William “Billy” Marion Edge (Diane) of Duncan, SC, one special brother-in-law: Gene Walters of St. Pauls, NC, one special friend: Ronnie Britt of St. Pauls, NC; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Second Baptist Church of St. Pauls, NC, Hospice House of Lumberton, NC or Wounded Warriors Project.
