John M. Eiring,76, of rural Plymouth, accepted his savior Jesus and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center, Sheboygan. He was born on January 19, 1948 to the late Irwin and Frances Clare (Phalen) Eiring. John graduated from New Holstein High School with the Class of 1966. 

John was drafted in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War, where he was honored to receive a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. In 1968, John united in marriage to Patricia Niquette, from this union two children were born, Melissa and Jason.  

After his military service, he pursued a career as an electrician and successfully owned and operated Lake Park Electric of Sheboygan. In 1986, John united in marriage to Deborah Oonk.  

In 1994, he fulfilled his childhood dream of becoming a cowboy and purchased a cattle ranch in South Dakota where he and Deb resided for 24 years. While running the ranch he also worked full-time at Black Hills Electric Cooperative located in Custer, SD. He and Deb enjoyed their time on the ranch with their dogs and horses, often taking hikes throughout their 830-acre property. 

John is survived by his daughter Melissa (Jason) Kimme of Howards Grove; son Jason (Amanda) Eiring of Hingham; six grandchildren, Erika Pfeifer, Brooklyn Kimme, Hayden (fiancée Mary) Lehman, Isaac Lehman, Evelyn and Mabel Eiring; two sisters Sue Ellen (Tom) Ricklefs and Carol (Bill) Haase; three brothers Gene Eiring, Jim Eiring and Jay (Leslie) Eiring; brother-in-law Bob (Betty) Oonk; sisters-in-law Cindy Oonk and Bonnie Eiring; and other relatives and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his wife Deborah; his parents Irwin and Frances Clare; his in-laws Gilbert and Doris Oonk; two brothers Bill and Tom Eiring and sister-in-law Sharon German.  

There will be a private military service.
